| The evolution of Trim-A-Lawn | |
| MARCH 1966 | |
| Trim-A-Lawn started in a 2 door backyard garage with $1,800.00 in capital by William Roloph upon retirement from the U.S Navy. My original intent was to have a part time job. during my first year, we even had our phone turned off and our first FL sales tax report was for $12.00. | |
| 1967 | |
| My youngest son Larry Roloph started working after school and during summer vacation. I would work with customers during the day and Larry and I would work on equipment until 10-11 at night | |
| 1968 | |
| We made our first expansion, a cloths TV repair store which we converted to a garden center on Gulf beach Hwy next to our 2 car garage. We had squirrels living in the attic. Customers would come and feed them while buying mowers, fertilizer and seed. | |
| 1972 | |
| We expanded a 2nd time, we bought a 2 bay service station next to our converted TV repair shop. | |
| 1974 | |
| We expanded a third time, we demolished the 2 car garage , TV repair shop and evicted the squirrels. This was probably our biggest mistake. We built a 90x125 FT strand steel building and have been trying to get rid of the squirrels and our banker ever since. We converted the service station into a mower repair center. | |
| 1976 | |
| We incorporated added Landscaping, Irrigation, Hydro seeding and Garden center expansion. another mistake over diversified. | |
| 2000 | |
| At the present we have a inventory of mower parts exceeding 25000 different line items representing all major manufactures. Our buildings span 16000 square feet sitting on 4 acres of property | |
